Summary of Ministry
1. What accomplishments in your ministry can we celebrate this month?
APRIL 2012- I was the guest speaker at the 100-yr. old church- Belgrade Community Church on Palm Sunday (April 1st) at their Sat. night/Sun. morning worship. I planned, promoted and conducted our annual Easter Sunrise worship at Big Sky Resort, which brought over 300+ and our best attended event of the season, including a local Bozeman TV station reporting on the evening news, which can be viewed online at this link: http://www.kbzk.com/videoplayer/?video_id=12673&categories=9%2C244
I completed my seasonal paid job at Big Sky Fire Department (Dec-April) at the end of our ski season on April 15th. I am thankful to have been given that opportunity. Attended MTSBC Student Missions meeting in Bozeman, April 1st to better network and communicate with our collegiate campus ministers and Innovator ministry in West Yellowstone. Submitted final documents to state and federal to become a 501c3 ministry on April 26th. Participated in an OMC in St. Clair Baptist Association in Ashville, AL on April 27-May 3rd. Followed-up with MTSBC Summer Missionary Supervisors and Sojourner/Summer Missionaries by email and phone calls in preparation for summer ministry.
2. What are your ministry plans for next month?
For MAY, continue working towards the launching of the prayer & fund-raising partners for my missionary position as a MSC Missionary. Work on plans and logistics for Summer Missionary orientation – June 4-6 at Crossroads Church in Bozeman.
3. What is working well?
The encouragement from God’s people and the responses that I received from those who attended the outdoor winter worship this season. I am never lacking in something to do or accomplish in God’s kingdom! Wish there was more time in the day to get things done. Keeping lines of communication and networking with those who will be serving alongside of collegiate summer missionaries in Montana. Being able to share my faith and my journey with God more often through my community connections.
4. What is missing or needs improvement?
Nothing new this month.
5. What are your plans to take care of your Spiritual, Physical and Family needs next month?
I am continuing to seek God in my prayer life, devotional life and would very much pray for a consistent accountability person(s) in my life right now. I am considering another marathon, but would welcome training for a ½ Ironman, but that remains to be seen. I am also finishing up a book that’s taken me months to complete and looking forward to the next read. I am also attending the graduation of my adoptive “nephew” in Littleton, CO.
6. Any other matters of interest?
None at this time.
7. How can we pray for you?
Pray for my unsaved friends and those with whom I am in contact on a weekly basis. Pray for the health of my parents in Lake Charles, LA. Pray for the Sojourner, Innovator and Summer missionaries that will be serving in Montana this summer from June 4th – August 9th. Pray for the stamina that I need to balance everything that’s on my plate for ministry resources, evangelism, supervising of the Summer Missionaries and the mentoring relationships that God has placed in my life. Continued prayer for my financial resources to continue ministry as a MSC (self-funded) Missionary.
