Summary of Ministry

1.    What accomplishments in your ministry can we celebrate this month?

JUNE 2012- One of the surprising aspects of the “Facebook social network” has been the ability to see and hear glimpses of what the Summer Missionaries are doing across the state.  That has been a “plus” as the missionaries post pictures, videos and comments about their ministry.  I attended a couple of “Big Sky Chamber” business gatherings to introduce Sojourner missionary (Travis Hays) to various businesses that might hire Innovator college students in the future.  Opportunity to teach two “Guard Start” Jr. Lifesaving classes at Camp Big Sky to 11-14yr olds. Participated in a Men’s backpacking spiritual retreat in Yellowstone.  Visited with Pastor Benny and Ed & Brenda Geiger in West Yellowstone.  Meet with and conducted June weddings.  Helped with resources for Church Planter Parish Hartley in pursuit of Skate Park ministry in Helena.

 2.  What are your ministry plans for next month?

For JULY, I will be following-up with Summer/Sojourner missionaries and supervisors to find out if there are any needs or concerns.  Will be participating with West Yellowstone Innovators in a backpacking event and sharing with them opportunities to serve in Montana.  Will be working on promotion and development of MTSBC requests for Summer Missions 2013 to submit to NAMB for Fall 2012 promotion.   Will be counseling w/couples and officiating five weddings in July.

  3.  What is working well?

The approval of my application to the State of Montana, Department of Revenue for non-profit, exempt status has been made official.  The resort ministry which I am conducting is now known as “Big Sky Resort Ministries, Inc.”  Yeah!  Being able to share my faith and my journey with God more often through my community connections!

  4. What is missing or needs improvement?

Nothing new this month.

5. What are your plans to take care of your Spiritual, Physical and Family needs next month?

Busy month, to say the least, but I am trying to use more of an electronic approach to stay consistent in my devotional time and my prayer time is the most consistent.  Still trying to find the time to do more “leisure reading” of recommended books on my list of books.

6. Any other matters of interest?

None at this time.

  7. How can we pray for you?

Pray for my unsaved friends and those with whom I am in contact on a weekly basis.  Pray for the health of my parents in Lake Charles, LA.   Pray for the Sojourner, Innovator and Summer missionaries that are serving in Montana this summer from June 4th – August 9th.  Pray for the stamina that I need to balance everything that’s on my plate for ministry resources, evangelism, coordinating of the Summer Missionaries and the mentoring relationships that God has placed in my life.   Continued prayer for my financial resources to continue ministry as a MSC (self-funded) Missionary.
